In a time of limited testing and contact tracing for Covid-19 stealing all the headlines, it is important to note that there remain many other aspects of the health care system that are still operating. Well checks for newborn babies and their mothers, x-rays for kids falling out of trees as they are spending more time at play than at school, and breast cancer scans for women who are worried about their family history with this disease. At any given time as many as 500,000 reefer trailers are in operation in the U.S. As economists and medical scientists alike try to prepare for the future, it should come as not surprise that increased need for new reefer trailers will be part of the plan. Even as the nation is seeing many states lifting restrictions and opening up, there is the news that the numbers of Covis-19 cases in many parts of the country are increasing, not decreasing. And as some manufacturing plants are transitioning from other kinds of production to personal protection equipment, there are also many trucking companies that are working out the details of acquiring new reefer trailers so they can meet the expected demand of both grocery store cold items and pharmaceutical products.
